Before jumping right into the certification course lets start off by answering a couple of questions to get you thinking. This will allow for all the walls to come down and to show you that becoming a personal trainer is more than just taking someone through a workout. It will always come down to your “Why” if not it is just another job and you will get tired of this as well in the future.

Many people make want to make the switch into becoming a personal trainer because they like to workout and see some trainer “making it.” I understand that these are great intentions but if you don’t take a long hard look at what it takes to “make it” as a trainer then you will end up spinning your wheels here as well. I would say that most people want to change careers into personal training because they are just so fed up with their current job that they think the grass is greener on the other side. They are looking for their Acres Of Diamonds.

These questions will allow you to start thinking differently during the course and help you decipher if this is the direction you should head for a full-time or part-time position. The most successful people that I have met have become so because they have a different mindset than most. For example most people in a job will say, “This is all that the job pays” but the successful people would say, “No that’s all they pay YOU.”

Weather you would like to go into personal training full-time or part-time that is up to you, however most don’t really know WHY they are doing anything in life. This question was once asked to 20 business men, “Why do you go to work where you do?” 18 of them answered, “I don’t know.” Most just go with the flow and end up where they are because it’s what they see everyone else doing.

Before you get started on this certification I would like to allow you to start taking the lid off of your thinking. Understand that this course is more than just something to get you certified. I believe that by going over these questions and allowing for the time to let them set in, you will get more out of the course as a whole.

  2. What do you want out of life after attaining this certification?
  3. What do you feel your purpose in life is?
  4. What’s on your bucket list?

We all have a journey and our goal at UTA is to help you along yours by encouraging you that whatever you desire to achieve is possible as long as you:

3) Have a plan/blueprint to get YOU there!

Our goal is to give the trainers/people like you that want more out of life the ability to think bigger and give you a road map to get started. The biggest mistake people make is never starting because what they want looks “to big” or “crazy” to them. We are here to walk along side you during your journey building lasting relationships for eternity.
